The European Commission is co-organising FISA 2019 and EURADWASTE ’19 conferences with the Ministry of Research and Innovation of Romania and the Institute for Nuclear Research (RATEN ICN) under the auspices of the Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2019, with the objectives:
FISA 2019 and EURADWASTE ’19 conferences in Safety of Reactor System and Radioactive Waste Management will address and engage with all relevant stakeholders involved: research and training organisations, academia, industry, technology platforms, European fora and European civil society, and international organisations.
A common introduction and closure of the two conferences will provide a unique opportunity to set the scene at EU, national and international levels. Detailed parallel sessions will provide a synthetic view of research and training policies, challenges and opportunities, implementation of programmes in both areas of reactor systems with emphasis on safety, and high-level radioactive waste disposal in Europe and at international level. Parallel ENEN PhD Event & Prize, and technical workshops should cover specific and highly relevant FISA 2019 and EURADWASTE ’19 themes of research. FISA 2019 and EURADWASTE’19 will launch its first PhD Student Competition of the international Research and Training Community.
FISA 2019 and EURADWASTE’19 will launch its first awards: Euratom Projects’ Poster Awards and an Open Call for R&D Topic Awards together with a PhD Awards competition of the international Research and Training Community.
