Biography

Mr. Joerg STARFLINGER is Full Professor at University of Stuttgart, Germany, and Executive Director of the Institute of Nuclear Technology and Energy Systems (IKE).
Graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1992 and having received the Ph.D. in 1997 both from the Ruhr-University-Bochum, Germany, he gained knowledge in nuclear reactor safety simulation, project management and teaching in his 12 years working for KIT, Germany. In 2010, he moved to Stuttgart as Professor of Nuclear Technology and Reactor Safety (IKE).
He is board member of the German Nuclear Society with special task: Development of competencies of young scientists and engineers, and currently Vice-President of the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN).
